The Zen Planter

At Bluum and Burch, sustainability starts with the materials we choose. Our 3D-printed products are made from a blend of PLA and PETG filaments – both carefully selected to reduce our environmental impact.

Our PLA filament is made from recycled, corn-based plastic, giving it a second life before it even reaches our printers. PLA is derived from renewable resources like cornstarch, sugar cane, or cassava and:

• Uses 65% less energy to produce than traditional virgin plastic

• Is biodegradable under the right conditions

• Can be safely composted, recycled, or incinerated

• Can be combined with natural fillers – like wood, metal, or even coffee – to create one-of-a-kind prints

Some of our pieces even feature 40% recycled wood fibers, giving them a warm, natural look and feel.

By starting with better materials, we’re taking small but meaningful steps toward making beautiful, sustainable design more accessible.
